I've taken it from a book,I know it means "outlander"
I think it's Scot slang or in gaelic!

It's Scot's.........it means an English person............... hence 'outsider'..........

you're right!I've taken from diana gabaldon's books;a story long 5 books,it's setting in scotland,1742,culloden battle and so on...and I've felt in love with scots highlands
