See now, of all the pics posted, I would like to put myself in that first one...because fishing is one of my very FAVORITE things to do and I haven't been since my dad died.
But I think he might have a snag and not a fish there.
I wonder.....

who's holding on to the end of that rod, that would sure hurt if
someone let go, he may end up in the water. Yowser!!
Anyway, you are right it is a terrific pic.
I'm not a very good fishergirl, I'm better underwater, chasing after
the fish, for me that's more fun, I make too mush noise, I
get bored easily, so I just jump in for a swim, then later just lay
in the sun for a tan, maybe read a book, still waiting for the next
Lemony book.
BB & I pretend we're mermaids on the rocks.

I'll admit that, upon profound psychic examination...I think I like first one because men who are secure enough to wear plaid flannel make me purr.

Och, sod it....I need to know if that was a snag.
(Fluffy, you have me speaking Scottish and making curry for supper...you mad transatlantic perpetrator of undue influence!)
I wonder if that pic was in Canada. My dad and brothers used to take manly summer vacations to Lynn Lake in Ontario to catch wicked looking fish.
My mom and I took a separate trip to my grandparents' in Arkansas and I would sit on Grandpa's dock from sunup till sundown catching bluegill...and occasionally something called a rock bass.
When I was old enough, my dad taught me to clean my fish, too...so at the end of the vacation my grandma would take my collection of fillets out of the freezer and cook em up. Fond memories.
The only time I looked like that top pic was in Florida fishing for grouper. I think there were barracudas under the boat because I kept losing bait like, "snip"...gone.
I hooked something incredibly large and my reel went whirrr whirrr as something down there on the end of my line moved further and further out, but not down.
I had bugeyes and my brother was screaming that I was going to get the big one. I wanted to hand him my pole, but that's not fisherwomanly and I knew it...but the thing would stop and I would reel in a bit...and then whirr whirr whirr....
I never got the better of whatever was on the end of that line. Finally it broke and my brother was very disheartened. I said, "It's ok...this is NOT a big boat...and whatever was on the end of my line...I don't think I wanted to pull it IN this boat."

Great pics!
I like the B&W pic. To me the smile says "Now, I see a joke there..." plus it is killing me softly .....

What was all that nicht a bricht the licht stuff? Don't TELL me if you don't speak like that...

It will pop the "fluffy sounds like" text bubble that appears above your head when your posts come to life.
Jim's smile. Sometimes it doesn't make it to his eyes. My mom taught me to look at the eyes of people who smile so I could tell the insincere from the sincere.
I'm not calling him fake, I'm just saying that he's able to paste on that smile for the cameras, but when the smile actually makes it to his eyes, that's when it's really quite nice.
The top picture there is a LOT different that the bottom two, but they are all nice.

well i don't think he's actually smiling in the top one............
he's grimacing as if to say........'i've got you you b*gger, you're not getting away,..... and oooh you're a big un'.......

.........
and sure he can turn it on..............but of course we can spot it most of the time..........and that adds to his melancholic/sad aura........
But however you look at him i wouldn't say NO!!!........lol...
i would say a very shy and humble- 'yes please Mr Carry, do with me what you will but be gentle........lol

It is different. But the reason I love it so much is cause he looks very manly in that plaid shirt. He looks like he smells manly too. Like maybe of fish and B.O. hehehe Plus I would love to go fishing with him anyday!
