Hiya guys,

I want to take a 7 night trip to Florida next year, to look for a place to study, and I'll be aged 18! Since it's over 21 to be an adult there, does that mean I couldn't go there on my own, or should it be ok, since I'm an English Citizen?

Also, anyone have exact details of the hurricane season, I'd like to avoid it, lol!

Need the info asap, as the holiday will need to be booked promptly!

Thanks guys,

Jenna xx

18 is adult age in America, I've had friends fly here on their own at age 15, but they had their parents give them a slip or something, you'd have to ask the airport. I don't live in Florida, I'm on the other side of the country, so I don't know anything about the hurricanes.

You are considered an adult at the age of 18, however the legal drinking age is now 21 in all states. You can fly on your own, but you won't be able to drink on the plane!

Good-o, thanks for the information! I wouldn't drink on the plane anyway, lol!!!

I must have misunderstood the age thing, but it's good I can stay out there on my own, cos I can't find anyone to go with me!

I'm all excited now! I can start saving my money, and get the holiday booked!!!
