the dampness, it goes right into your bones.
It could be minus 12 to -15 here in Eastern Canada but but
out West it's colder but you don't feel it as much, I still have the scar from
frost bite.
For those out in England to stay warm put some hot water in a
recyclable pop bottle make sure it's sealed with the cap, make sure it doesn't leak, put in a plactic bag for double measure and tie tight and wrap in a towel. Then put it in your bed a few minutes before you retire, it's a modern day hot water bottle.
I did this when our furnace went out
one year up north and gave all the kids hot water bottles, from then on
they didn't want a teddy bear but a hot water botter B4 bed.
But it's only a temporary solution.

that's a great tip CJ.......in the absence of Euan i've got 2 hot water bottles, a furry blanket on top of my duvet, a hoody and 2 furry warm bodies to keep me warm.............i may as well wear a coat and hat too.......lol.....
but frostbite ......wow! that's serious cold ......

That's the way things go sometimes...

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CANADA!!!!
sing along with the Official Lyrics of O Canada!
O Canada! Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

lol.....since we're posting national anthems........
Flower of Scotland
O Flower of Scotland,
When will we see
Your like again,
That fought and died for,
Your wee bit Hill and Glen,
And stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.
The Hills are bare now,
And Autumn leaves
Lie thick and still,
O'er land that is lost now,
Which those so dearly held,
That stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.
Those days are past now,
And in the past
They must remain,
But we can still rise now,
And be the nation again,
That stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.
O Flower of Scotland,
When will we see
Your like again,
That fought and died for,
Your wee bit Hill and Glen,
And stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.

Where I am in Canada (Hamilton, Ontario) its about -6 celcius. I absolutley hate winter. The cold and the snow.. snow isnt too bad right now. We didn't get snow until a few days after christmas.
We haven't gotten whole lot of snow. Around christmas I was hearing that up north there was lots of snow and parts of the US had a lot of snow.

Thats Australia not Scotland lol
Here is the USAs National anthem
Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
