My daughter leaves her Gameboy everywhere
Where ever I look it is there!
On the chairs!
On the Stairs!
On the Floor!
Next its going out the door!
But now that she is in bed
I see it straight ahead
and play it till the battery light turns red.

Walking on a narrow path
Not daring to stray from it
Nothingness on either side
But treasure at you destination
A treasure you've only heard of
One you've never seen
Faith alone will keep you moving
Trusting in the invisible
It's a fable you walk for daily
Yet you know it's a reality
Walking on a narrow path
Not being distracted
Or tempted from it
Needing to see what's at the end
Only to confirm what you already know
Reaching your goal is the only option
So you can live with no regret.

Shards of nuance,
Waves of reflection,
Deep REM sleep,
Is near to perfection.

I can't close it down,
It's open year round,
Red is a feeling,
And blue is a sound.

If the waters would still,
I'd surely find rest,
No longer just spinning,
On an opaque quest.

Through a glass darkly,
I can't find the words,
God watches over,
Earth's wandering herds.

A panoply of congregants,
A march to the end,
The verdant pledged gardens,
Where whole souls can mend.

A whisper is always,
More power than a yell,
When we have plenty to offer,
And nothing to sell.

There was a time simple and free,
When posters made jimericks with glee,
The rhymes that they'd find,
Weren't always sublime,
But the 'ricks were a fine thing to see.

This is from me to you,
your rhyming is so true,
The Jimericks seem to come,
as fast a spat wad of gum,
but things have slowed,
and no one knows,
except for maybe a few.

I LOVE the wordplay here, it's fantabulous! Care to explain what it means? Or is it one where each person that reads it will walk away with their own personal meaning. either way I like it alot! :D
