Jim Carrey Online

....an experiment in personification.
This one is inspired by fluffy. I know you would rather eat mushy peas than take credit for my corny poems....

For you smile, and a thousand sun rays jostle to shine
The spring awakes, the music lulls and the rainbow smiles
The water gurgles down the brook happily lapping the rocks
The wind whispers round the trees trembling leaves with laugh
The flowers bloom to beckoning clouds, do they talk 'macarena'
Grasses frolick with buzzing bees as ants do a belly dance
The clouds grow dark, the rain pours and makes the squirrel frown
The storm washes and departs and fun takes centerstage again
Did all this really happen? ... I wouldn't know. I was lost
in your thoughts and time stopped.


I sorely miss this forum. Actually I'm doing a course and have been so truant with it. I log on to the internet and log on to JCO! Gahh! So I actually unsubscribed my internet. It's not working too well.....

and let me give this gift to you...

The only gifts I got from my cat were the occasional "played with to death" mice that she would leave on the door mat!!!

What happened to the limericks???? Not that I don't like your poems, I do. I actually LOVE them it's just I think we've strayed away 1:from Jim and 2: From limericks. Oh well just thought I'd mention it. Keep writing guys, I love to read your poems!

There was a young man named Jim
Whose body was made for sin......
One day in the sun.......
He burned his firm bum.......

Whilst i'd love to take credit for this beautiful piece i'm afraid i cannot......
It's by the beloved musical hero of my youth.....David Sylvian.......
and whilst it's a musical lyric ,it's really a poem put to music..............

It was written in the aftermath of the breakdown of his marriage.....and to hear the piece put to music breaks your heart .....YET it's also uplifting.............it's about light through the dark.............
I love it............i hope you do too........

TOOTHY PEGS


My crocodile had 90 teeth,
all pointy sharp and long
i fed him lots of grub and sweets
and now they've all but gone..

He didn't brush his toothy pegs
and i was far too meek
to put my hands into his gob
and brush those fearsome teeth,

The moral of this little tale..
is simple and quite sweet..
unless you want a gummy croc
you'll need to brush his teeth....

then again you could always get a hamster........

FROGGY

Froggy sat upon a leaf
and spied a big fat fly
he stuck his sticky tongue straight out
and hit it in the eye.

The fly he got quite angry
For he was indeed a bee
and with his mighty sting did teach
a lesson to Froggy.......

I made a perfect snowball
As perfect as could be.
I thought I'd keep it as a pet.
