"Dumb and Dumber To" Release in Summer 2014

Finally, there is a scheduled time decided for Jim Carrey's much awaited sequel, "Dumb & Dumber 2", which is set to release in theaters Summer 2014. The news was confirmed by Joey McFarland, the vice chairman of Red Granite Pictures in an exclusive interview by The Wall Street Journal.
He also told that the production company begin preparatory work Monday in Atlanta. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels still remain part of this movie and it will be co-directed and co-produced by Bobby and Peter Farrelly who also directed the original 1994 "Dumb & Dumber" movie which made for $17 million, and has grossed $247 million worldwide to date.
McFarland and Red Granite co-founder and current chairman Riza Aziz spent eight months negotiating the deal to secure and greenlight the sequel. McFarland also shed some light on the details of the script saying that there will be a “significant female role, a new woman in the men’s lives." The female role is yet to be casted for. It is also a part of the reason he’s headed to Atlanta.
