When i went to a site that
Talks about the stsr of David
I noticed on the Jewish faith
They refer G_d like this
I think that is a great sign
Of respect to Him
I love that.
I also was thinking:
People rarely draw
God the Father

A kingly reverenti Santa like
Man without the Red Cheesy

Naw cant see G_D the Father
In P J's
Maybe a bright white robe
Simple yet kingly

I read my scriptures often
So to do something different
And to get more out of them
Ive consigned myself to read
The english then to read and
Speak it in french hoping
That my vocabulary in french
Would become more proficient

As i was reading i read
"Burnt offerings" which is
A practice that was once done
Anciently to remind the people
Of the sacrifice the Saviour would
Make for all mankind.
In french the words were translated
As "holocaust"
That word to all reminds me
Of the horrible 2nd world war

How horrible to have such
An atrocity repeated on
hundreds of thousands of people
And the word "Burnt offerings"
Applied to name this horrific cluster
Of continuous events during the
Time of the war.
I pray people will realize that
War generates
Repeated historical tradgedies

Recently with all these
Shoitings in school someone said that they saw a t shirt that said
Something like....
Where was God when these
Shootings occurred??
God is not allowed in school.
That...
Hit me like a ton of bricks

I don't have any children but if i had i would have sent them to the local Catholic school even though i am protestant. I'm not particularly religious but i do believe these schools provide a strong moral code and old fashioned feeling of togetherness. We don't have enough Catholics here to fill a school so they do let other faiths in, the only difference is they don't get the fire and brimstone and catechisms but they do get the parables and moral messages. They can then decide whether to go to a mixed faith secondary or not.
