I watched the mini documentary about Jim Carrey's paintings. I really loved it.
Just wish it was longer than 6:18. I would love to a whole documentary.

I believe this video was around 2010 or 2011. But I love it.

i'm not sure if he's still really into his painting. He may well be but he keeps it so private we can only guess. I think he uses art like a form of creative therapy though. :D

From what I read in articles and Jim's video, he got into painting about 6 years ago when
he and Jenny McCarthy broke up. He was broken hearted , so he got into painting to heal his broken heart, and he also does it for therapy. When he and Jenny broke up, he must've told himself he needed color. That's probably why he got into painting.

We all need colour
Especially when we at times
Feel totally grey
Colours can change mood
And perspective
Well done with
All paintings
Keep doing what you're
Doing
Your in the zone

Hey JCO:

I saw Jim's pictures on the JCO Facebook page and the article, I really like them.
Just wish Jim would have an Art Exhibition here in Dallas, Texas, USA at the Dallas Museum of Art in Downtown Dallas, it would be great to see his art in person.

Sincerely,

Terry Marvin (Dallas, Texas, USA)

Hey JCO:

Since Jim's a permanent artist with company he signed for, will he give up
acting in movies and TV. I know he has 2 movies to do that in development, will
those be his last movies? I was wondering.

Sincerely

Terry Marvin (Dallas, Tecas, USA)

I would think a person
Can be an artist
And an actor
Its like having two jobs
Many people do it

i think the colours you are into reflect the time of year you were born.....it's just a theory but i was born in Winter so i love things like deep greens and reds and golds and chocolate browns and deep blues...especially in velvets, the luxurious colours....the ones we associate with Christmas i suppose.....and Black is always a good staple along with it's chum grey... :D

Jim was born in January
He does have some white in his artwork
That could b a good theory
We should do a poll on that one

I'm a Capricorn too so Winter is in my blood, i'd go nuts if i moved to a very hot country with lots of sun every day....lol
...i wonder if the move to LA upset his circadian rythyms because he moved from a country with very distinct seasons and lighting to a place where it's less varied and very hot. I think i would get very miserable if i couldn't feel the seasons change properly. It's a known fact that hot places have higher incidences of violent crime.... and folk changing to differing climates have a higher incidence of circadian influenced bi-polar....we are all attuned to the seasons and natural environments we grew up in, take us out of what we know and it can really mess with our whole being....
Hey it's just my theory anyway.....lol....

The food looks very good, so does the cocktails. I also loved the photos of Jim's paintings. But I wish there were pictures of Jim at his art show.
