I often had the feeling this was a SNL special about Harry and Lloyd, not a movie. Or those Jimmy Fellon reunions, like he did with Friends or Saved by the Bell.

Reunion hits the spot. That's really how the movie felt in some way.

I rewatched the movie on Blu-Ray in English, now (last time German dubbed in the cinema). It's a bit better than I said in the last pasts. Better in English and better than I thought for a while when thinking about the movie with a bid disappointment.
Now I could go deeper into the movie and just let it happen because I was not all the time like, "Wow, Lloy! Harry! Jim! Jeff! Dumb and Dumber 2 after all these years, finally!!!!"
What I said in previous posts still is right but I like it more, now, than I did after the first time :).

My grandkids love
to watch Gummi bear dances

some of it

I haven't seen this one yet but from my buddy's review, it's not the first one but it has it's moments. I think in my book that would be a winner. Can't wait to see it though.

I totally agree about the nostalgia/reunion aspect of DD2. It was nowhere *near* the original, but nothing ever could be. And I just LOVE Jeff and Jim's chemistry.
Jeff's respect and affection for Jim is unmistakeable and very sweet.

I favourited this tweet from Jeff after Jim's GG appearance a couple of years ago - I found it very touching..

"When Jim Carrey came out to present at last night's Golden Globes, before he'd said a word, everyone started smiling. Love that."

I thought that summed Jim up perfectly; brightening a room just by entering it.

That's very true, I also usually have to smile when he is showing up somewhere (in the TV) :D.

Aah, how funny!

Yeah, it's lovely to see and it's the reason why they work so well together.
Jeff always strikes me as pretty hard to impress and deadpan which makes his admiration and affection for Jim all the more noticeable.
