In Belgium 'Yes Man' was in the top 5 for 6 weeks on a row since it opened. Now in week 7 with six new movies opening, it dropped 47% and left the top 10, being on number 13. I guess the 'Yes Man' days are going to be over in about a month. On the other hand ... I guess Philip Morris is taking over by then. :D 'Yes Man' did very well in Belgium.

I'm glad he does. :) But then again, Jim doing VERY good in Europe, that's not new.

I just figured this out for Belgium (maybe not interesting, but it's a nice fact, I think) :

- High School Musical 3 || $2,848,130 || 16 weeks
- Twilight || $3,109,937, || 12 weeks
- Madagascar 2 || $6,243,570, || 11 weeks
- Loft || $9,412,399 || 17 weeks

- Yes Man || $ 2,061,363 ||7 weeks

So when you think about it, all those high scoring movies have a huge audiance. The ones that aren't earning from the kids, are getting money from fans. And those movies needed almost the double of the time 'Yes Man' is out to get those millions. Considering 'Yes Man' is the only one that came out in 2009 (not 2008) and isn't for all ages or isn't something famous that became a movie ... it's doing damn good! Hell, there's not one single movie (not even all the big ones) that came out in 2009 that comes near the numbers of 'Yes Man', it's the highest earning movie so far. I'm a happy man. :D And I hope the distributors of 'Philip Morris' notice it.

I can see the same thing is going on in The Netherlands ... The only movie that is still in the top 10 after Six weeks is 'Yes Man'. All the other movies are newer and most of them can't beat 'Yes Man'. There 'Australia' (9 weeks), 'Oorlogswinter' (12 weeks) and 'Madagascar 2' (14 weeks) are the only movies that scored a higher number. But in The Netherlands, 'Yes Man' is still the highest scoring movie that came out in 2009. Don't you just love that? :)

There have only been 5 other Movies in History which have made atleast $97 Million at the Box Office but failed to reach that Magical $100 Million Dollar Milestone Domestically.

1. Hercules (1997) - $99,112,101

2. The Color Purple (1985) - $98,467,863

3. Billy Jack (1971) - $98,000,000

4. Meet The Robinsons (2007) - $97,822,171

5. Inspector Gadget (1999) - $97,403,112

Currently Jim's Beloved Yes Man sits at $97,021,369! Just $2,978,631 from joining the $100 Million Dollar Club Domestically. :(

Warnes Bros. needs to say "YES" to giving YES MAN an EXTRA PUSH by increasing the theater count and letting it work it's MAGIC before the DVD gets released on April 7, 2009!
